BCTS 11: 10 Days Masai Mara / Nakuru / Samburu / Mt. Kenya / Amboseli

06.30 hrs: Early to rise early to spot. This is one of the best game drives of the day. After breakfast and a hot cup of Chai (Tea) or Kahawa (coffee) head into the park for our first game drive. The cool early morning weather is excellent for spotting Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Hyena. Return to the camp for lunch. 15.30 hrs: Full Afternoon game drive. On every game drive we will try and explore a different part of the park. After watching the beautiful Mara Sunset head back to camp for dinner and overnight.

08.00 hrs: After breakfast, proceed on a FULL DAY Game drive with picnic Lunch and also visit the Hippo Pool (Mara River). Here you can come out of the vehicle and sit on the rocks and view the hippos and crocodiles in the river. You can also go for a short walk with a warden. Return back to the campsite for Dinner and Overnight. Optional: Full Morning and Full Afternoon Game Drives

07.30 hrs: After breakfast, leave Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch, proceed for a game drive round Lake Nakuru to view the RHINOS, flamingos, waterbuck, buffaloes etc. The flamingos at Lake Nakuru are often described as “The World’s Greatest Bird Spectacle.” After bird and game viewing check into the hotel with private Shower/toilet. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Nakuru.

07.00 hrs: After breakfast, leave via the Thompsons Falls for Samburu Game Reserve, picnic lunch en-route. 15.30 hrs: Proceed for a game drive in search of the elusive leopard, lions, long necked graceful Gerenuk, Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Oryx and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at Lodge / Luxury Tented Camp.

06.30 hrs: This is one of the best game drives to watch herds of elephants only a few yards away from you as they come to the river to drink and bathe. Return to your lodge for Lunch. After lunch spend the afternoon lying around pool or enjoy an afternoon nap. 15.30 hrs: Full Afternoon game drive in search of big cats, Elephants, Reticulated Giraffe, and plains game. After watching the beautiful Samburu sunset over River Ewaso Nyiro, return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at lodge

After breakfast, leave Samburu for Mt. Kenya arriving at your hotel for lunch. Afternoon nature walk around the hotel (Included in the price) or Walk / Horseback ride along the foothills of Mount Kenya; visiting the Mau Mau Caves and visit the freshwater streams running down from Mt. Kenya. (Extra – Paid at the hotel). Dinner and overnight at the hotel. OPTIONAL UPGRADE ABERDARES COUNTRY CLUB & THE ARK After Breakfast depart Samburu arriving at Aberdare Country Club for Lunch. Afternoon is at Leisure (Swim, Go for a walk around the golf course, rent a bicycle..). At 16.30 hrs take the afternoon shuttle to The Ark. The evening and night are spent on your comfortable perch, above the floodlit water hole and saltlick where, all night long, a procession of animals come to drink. Dinner and overnight at The Ark

After breakfast leave Mt. Kenya via the Athi Plains for Amboseli Game Reserve arriving at your camp for lunch. 15.30 hrs: Full Afternoon game drive. Return to Camp in the late evening for dinner and overnight.

08.00 hrs: After Breakfast depart for a full day game drive of Amboseli National Park. Extensive morning game drive in search of Large Elephant Herds, Lions, Hyena, Bat Eared Fox, Cheetah and Plains Game Picnic Lunch at Amboseli Observation Hill. – watch elephants bathe in a swamp from the summit. A pyramid-shaped volcanic hill rising over the predominantly flat Amboseli National Park allows you to admire a view of the dessert plains and swamps against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro while you enjoy your lunch. After lunch proceed for a full afternoon game drive game drive. 16.00 hrs: Optional Visit a traditional village and engage in captivating dances, melodious songs, witness their fire-making techniques, and embrace the enriching experience of their distinctive culture (USD 25) Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

07.30 hrs: Leisurely depart from Amboseli arriving in Nairobi at around 14.00 hrs. Optional – Train to Mombasa arriving in Mombasa at 14.00 hrs (included in the price).
